NTC-450E Cyanate Epoxy Hybrid system

NTC-450E is a toughened high performance hybrid Cyanate Ester / Modified Epoxy thermoset prepreg material. This material is an excellent candidate for applications requiring self-adhesion to honeycomb for the purpose of eliminating the use of a film adhesive. NTC-450E bonds to honeycomb under vacuum or press cure and exhibits cohesive honeycomb failure during destructive bond testing.

The unique prepreg architecture allows for very high-quality laminates with VBO processing without complicated and lengthy debulk cycles while achieving <1% void content.

In addition to very low moisture absorption, NTC-450E also offers excellent mechanical and thermal properties as well as superior dielectric properties making it an excellent choice for antennas, Radomes, cellular enclosures, and other similar applications.

NTC-425 Cyanate Ester system

NTC-425 is a unique pure cyanate ester prepreg resin system that allows a lower temperature 250F (121C) initial cure that achieves ~80% cure conversion. The part can then be removed from the tool and post-cured free-standing for 4 hours to complete the process and achieving a final Tg in excess of 425F (220C).

The unique prepreg architecture allows structures to be produced using OOA processing without complicated and lengthy debulk and cure processes.

The final product provides excellent mechanical properties and toughness, high radiation resistance, low moisture absorption, and low outgassing. NTC-425 is also an excellent choice for cryogenic applications or large structures that may require long periods of time to layup.

The extremely long out time of 90 days provides the fabricator enough time to produce parts without fear of exceeding out time limits of legacy materials.

NTC-500 Cyanate Ester system

NTC-500 is a toughened pure Cyanate Ester Prepreg designed for high temperature structural applications and Radomes.

This system is also designed for simplified OOA processing for large structures while achieving autoclave quality void content and yield. It also features an industry leading out time of ~4 months at room temperature removing fears of exceeding out times, requalification of material or possible disposal due to expiration.

Applications are wide ranging including space and launch vehicles, Formula 1, Radomes, aerostructures and high temperature applications.
